MockMate AI (“MockMate”, “we”, “us”) operates mockmateai.in and the associated interview-practice product. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and — importantly — what we never do with your data.
1. What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
- Interview inputs: resume text you upload (PDF / DOCX / TXT) and job descriptions you paste.
- Interview outputs: answer transcripts, audio buffers used for speech-to-text, and locally-recorded video (stored on your own device, not our servers, unless you explicitly download and re-upload it).
- Usage: anonymised event logs (page views, feature clicks) used for reliability and product improvement.
2. How we use it
- To generate personalised interview questions and STAR-method feedback for you.
- To show your history and progress inside your own dashboard.
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
3. Zero-data-reselling guarantee
We do not sell, rent, or share your resume, transcripts, audio or video with any third party, advertiser, or data broker. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models. Period.
4. Video & audio processing
Your microphone audio is streamed to our Speech-to-Text provider (OpenAI Whisper) only for the seconds required to produce a transcript, and is not retained by them per our processing agreement. Camera video is captured entirely inside your browser (MediaRecorder API) and stored locally in your device via IndexedDB — it does not leave your device unless you explicitly download it.

6. Your rights
You can delete any interview from your dashboard at any time. You can request full account deletion by writing to support@mockmateai.in — we will erase your account and associated data within 7 working days.
